Miss Brown’s Cafe is a locally loved Hawke’s Bay café with locations in Ahuriri, Napier and Hastings, serving homemade roots-style food with a contemporary twist. From the moment you walk through our doors, our goal is simple, to create food and coffee worth slowing down for in a warm and welcoming environment.

Our story began in Ahuriri, where we built a reputation for quality food, exceptional coffee, and genuine hospitality. In June 2026, we expanded by opening our second café in Hastings, taking over the iconic former Bay Espresso building on Karamu Road. The new location allows us to bring the Miss Brown’s experience to even more locals while continuing the legacy of a much-loved Hastings café site.

At both locations, our menu is built around thoughtfully crafted dishes that celebrate traditional flavours while embracing modern creativity. We focus on quality ingredients, careful preparation, and honest cooking, creating meals that are both comforting and memorable. Coffee is at the heart of what we do. We’re proud to serve Windy Ridge Fair Trade organic coffee from Ebony Coffee, carefully brewed to deliver a rich, smooth flavour in every cup. By choosing Fair Trade organic coffee, we’re supporting ethical and sustainable farming practices while ensuring our customers enjoy consistently exceptional coffee.
